This past week has probably been the most unproductive week of 2018 so far, I was on my holidays from work so you’d assume that a 23 year old girl, like myself would take every moment to go travelling, see new places, meet new people but NOPE I found myself somewhat wrapped up in my blankets with my dog because the thought of stepping outside the house made me sick to my stomach. Anxiety’s a Pain, Am I right?
I found myself constantly browsing through Home diys on Pinterest, watching all of Shane Dawson’s Conspiracy videos, which OMG deserve their own blog post! I would then find myself switching over to Netflix, looking through almost everything they have to offer and eventually settling on something I’ve already seen and then end up on Instagram for the entire movie, Priorities people!
My week basically went like this everyday, with the very frequent visit to the kitchen to gather my rations, what good is Netflix without your snacks?
It wasn’t until Thursday when my Best Friend came over to stay the night, I had to leave the house to gather supplies and by supplies I mean more snacks including the essential takeaway. We found ourselves laughing at everything and nothing for the entire day, doing face masks, dying her hair because she thinks she’s going ginger but she still very brunette.
Later that night, we had settled on watching the 2003 Peter Pan, reminiscing on how much we used to fancy peter when we were much younger. We were both 8 when it was released. We gave up watching this movie about 25 mins in, because we were in a Disney singing mood and wanted to find a good musical to watch, it was then when we realized there are NO good Disney movies on Netflix! I’m talking old school Cinderella, The little Mermaid. the black cauldron etc!!
My Best Friend then proceeds to say, ‘Sure, haven’t you heard of Disney Life?’
Ever since then, a happiness that I had once lost was slowly making its way back into my brain. Its been 3 days since I signed up for Disney Life and I’m already half way through the Disney Princess movies, and tonight I’m watching Pirates of the Caribbean, it doesn’t get much better than this, does it?
I have made a list of my favorite movies (Disney), that I now watch when i’m not feeling the best because ever since childhood it really was the only thing that made me happy and i think they’re the reason for my love of film!
- The Little Mermaid
- Sword in the Stone
- The Black Cauldron
- Beauty and the Beast
- Peter Pan
- Mary Poppins
- Pirates of the Caribbean (franchise)
If anyone is reading this and is unaware of ‘Disney Life’ like I was then I would highly recommend signing up, you get a free 7 day trial and then €6.99 p/m. This is not a sponsored/branded post. I don’t even know how those work. This is just a friend looking out for a friend.
Thank you for reading my long somewhat all over the place story! Let me know what your favorite movie growing up was or if there is a particular movie you watch now that helps you get through life, haha.
Bye guys, EdelCreates
